Steve Levine is the creator and principal of Wilshire. After years of being a regular patron at La Vecchia Cucina on Main Street, Steve bought the restaurant and turned an aging standby into a revitalized neighborhood favorite.

As soon as he saw the Wilshire location, he knew he had found an extraordinary setting for a new kind of restaurant: the perfect melding of the indoor and outdoor dining experience that's unique to Southern California. Steve worked with designer Thomas Schoos and project manager Adam Picker to create, as reported in Bon Appetit magazine, one of the "top ten" outdoor dining spots in America". LA restaurant critic S. Irene Verbelia called the space "a California dream".

Steve worked with chef Andrew Kirshner in developing a menu that complements the restaurant's setting: Comforting yet sophisticated; classic yet inventive.Focusing on service that's warm and professional, Wilshire offers a sense of fun and community in a new kind of neighborhood restaurant.
